Jake here, founder of METALAB. First of all, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU. Honestly, I never imagined we’d have such an amazing community of people who love the brand as much as you do. It's truly humbling, and from the bottom of my heart, I’m beyond grateful to have you as part of what we’re building.

You are the reason we do this!

I’m writing this personally because I consider each and every one of you part of the METALAB family—even if we’ve never met. And with that, I want to be open about something that’s been on my mind.

We’ve reached a point where we need to make a small price increase on some of our products. I know, not the news anyone likes to hear, but it’s important to me that you understand why. Since the start of this year, the cost of our premium whey protein from our supplier has jumped by over 50% per kg. We’ve absorbed those costs for as long as we could, but in order to keep delivering the top-notch quality you expect from us, we need to adjust our prices just enough to keep things running smoothly.

Starting soon, you’ll notice a +-R100 increase across our protein powders. While it’s not ideal, this increase is significantly less than the actual cost spikes we’re seeing, but it’s enough to help us continue making the best possible products for you without cutting corners.

The increase will be in effect from 1 November, so there is some time for you to top up your stash before then should you wish to do so. I can’t express how much your loyalty and support mean to us. You’re not just customers—you’re the heart of this brand.

We’ve got so many exciting things planned, and I can’t wait to keep growing alongside you. Always remember: YOU are the brand—and we’ll always strive to give you the very best with no compromises!
